Tennis Elbow

Tennis elbow, or lateral epicondylitis, is a condition characterised by pain and tenderness on the outside of the elbow, usually caused by overuse of the forearm muscles and tendons. This repetitive strain leads to small tears in the tendons that attach to the lateral epicondyle (the bony bump on the outer elbow). Although common among tennis players due to the backhand stroke, it can affect anyone who frequently uses their wrist and arm in repetitive motions—painters, carpenters, office workers, and musicians, for instance.
