Every aspect of having a child effects a women’s body. From the journey of pregnancy to labour and delivery there are immense stresses and strains placed on mum.
As fantastic as the NHS is the follow up input after pregnancy and birth is very minimal. Usually a quick 8 week check in without a physical examination of time to ask all those silly little questions like “when can I start exercising” or “is this normal?” Let alone time to address any aches and pains picked up along the way.
We have a number of options for Mums who often forget to take care of themselves provided by Chartered Physiotherapists.
Our Mummy MOT service starts with a thorough initial consultation, where we take time to listen to you, assess you, answer any burning questions and then establish the best way forward towards your goals. Whether that be peace of mind or a return to high level performance.
The Mummy MOT Initial Assessment includes
- A full case history
- Spinal and Pelvic Assessment
- Biomechanics assessment
- Diastasis/Tummy Gap Assessment
- Pelvic Floor Assessment (non internal)
- Treatment planning and goal setting.
Depending on the findings of this assessment a treatment plan will then be formed between you and your physio. Treatment can include hands on therapy such as massage or manipulation as well as education and exercise rehab.
We work with pre and post natal cliens to keep them active and comfortable from the early days of pregancy to after thier little one arrives.
We have a team of physiotherapists and osteopaths who offer 1:1, small group and class sessions.
Our aim to to encourage you to exercises with confience knowing you are in safe hands.
Our next block of Mum and Baby Pilats starts Wednesday 18th September 11.15am
